What would your eighteen-year-old self say to your fifty-eight-year-old self if it had the opportunity? How would they judge the life you are living? This question hangs over this thought-provoking comedy that deals with love, life and the tinted prism of memory. Two sets of actors, representing the same couple at two different ages, portray the characters of Greg and Melissa, who meet for dinner after not having seen each other for nearly forty years. Turns out there’s a lot of water under the bridge, with both of them having unresolved feelings about the past. Not to mention issues in their present lives. Is it too late to change direction? Should they? Can they? The action is propelled by a Bartender/Waiter/Narrator, who functions as a wiseass one-man Greek Chorus with an agenda of his own. Pirandello meets “Same Time Next Year.”
